A straightforward session for all abilities. After a gentle group warm-up jog to Mangotsfield Station, you’ll run for 20 minutes in the direction of Warmley & beyond then turn about and run back in 19 minutes. This is known as a negative split, a racing strategy that involves completing the second half of a run faster than the first half. It is defined by the intentional setting of a slower initial pace, followed by either a gradual or sudden increase of speed towards the end of a run. So, run out as fast as you like and run back just a little bit faster. And the bonus is that we all finish at roughly the same time.
