Welcome to Emersons Green Running Club.
We’ve been running (literally) since 2012, bringing together friendly faces from across North-East Bristol and beyond. Whether you’re brand new to running or a seasoned competitor, there’s a place for you here.
Emersons Green is packed with scenic trails, paths and cycle routes — and we love exploring them together. Our goal? Keep fit, make friends, and motivate each other along the way.
When & Where:
We meet at Pomphrey Hill Pavilion (Mangotsfield) every Monday, Tuesday & Thursday at 6:50pm, ready to run at 7pm.
Weekly Sessions:
Monday – Up & Coming Runners: Perfect for beginners or those easing back in. If you are any doubt about where you’d fit in, try a Monday first – and there’s always a Walk/Run group as part of our Monday sessions.
(Loopy) Tuesday: Every Tuesday we lead a looped run with 4, 5, or 6 mile options and these will vary in pace relative to the distance. Ultimately, the session aims to have all runners finish at approximately the same time.
Thursday – Training Night: Sessions change week to week but each one is aimed at keeping runners broadly together. Fartlek, Parlauf, Tempo, Hills, Sprints and so much more, these sessions are run at whatever pace you choose; we’ll never tell you how fast to run.
- Toilets, safe storage and warm, dry facilities at the Pavilion
- Supportive, non-intimidating vibes (no one gets left behind!)
- A public car park and great access to off-road routes. If you cycle, you can lock your bike in our changing room whilst you run.
- Members – If you are a paid-up member of Emersons Green Running Club, there is no additional cost to join one of our weekly sessions above.
- Guests – Give us a try any time you like for just £2.00 per session
All sessions must be booked via the Spond app
Please note: You must be 18+ to run with us or join the club; we don’t have the requisite number of leaders/coaches to fulfil the ratios required to look after under 18s.
