Doynton Loop 1

We have the all clear from Farmer John to traipse across his land which just happens to be where Loop 1 of the Doynton Hard Half Marathon goes – what a coincidence huh?!
The first mile is a steady climb to the top of Toghill Lane before descending through farmland and then we approach a river section (method of crossing tbc). A second climb joins the Cotswold Way and takes you through Dyrham Wood and an undulating route back to Doynton village will give you stunning views.
Distance for the loop will be about 5 miles, with the option of 9 or 13 miles for those who wish to go on to do sections 2 and 3.
We’ll pretty much run as a group with speedy folk looping back at regular intervals so you can make the run as energetic as you like and there’ll be a guaranteed tail runner for the first loop.
Meet at Doynton Village Hall (BS30 5SY) for a 10.30am start.
