Emersons Green Running Club simply wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our amazing committee members.
Every committee member plays a vital part in keeping the club running smoothly, fairly, and transparently for all our members.
Whether it’s supporting new runners, planning events or managing communications, each committee member helps shape the
welcoming community we’re so proud of.
Interested in getting involved? Every place on the committee is vacated at our January AGM before elections take
place for committee positions for the year ahead.

Neil Newman
The Chairman of Emersons Green Running Club heads the committee and helps it support the membership, shape the club’s direction, and ensure a welcoming, well-run environment where runners of all abilities can thrive.
Anne Burge
I help bring all the members together to ensure we have vibrant running committee. With social events and Sunday socials, and the odd sausage and chips.
Julia Edwards
As Women’s Captain, I work closely with the Men’s Captain to support members and organise key events such as the Club Championships and Cotswold Way Relay. I joined EGRC in 2020 after 30 years of netball and am now a regular at club nights, parkrun, and Club Championship events.
Tom Kavanagh
As IT Guru, I maintain the website to ensure information is clear and current, while helping the committee navigate our digital tools with confidence.
Sarah Cook
Monday night rep. I endeavour to ensure there are ways for new members to progress their running when they join club after completing their CT5K. Also for runners returning from injury or rejoining club after a break from running.
Josh Berger
Being the mens captain, means the world to me….
Steven Burge
I order our club kit, and look after all the club equipment that we use for all our races and events.
Abbie Wood
I manage all of our social media channels, keeping our members actively engaged with club activities and events while also attracting new members to grow our community.
Wendy Gwinneth
I’m the club Treasurer – I look after the club’s finances, pay our bills, process reimbursements, and make sure we have enough money to keep running!
Deb Parsons
I ensure smooth running of the club and membership. As well as ensuring to hold the committee accountable for their roles.
