Running Festivals

RunFestRun

Would you like to meet Paula Radcliffe, listen to live music and go for a 10K run all in one weekend?  Then RunFestRun on 31st May - 2nd June might be the event for you!  For more information go to their event website here.  Looks like more information on line-ups are yet to be announced.

Family Running Festival

A bit more local and hosted at our very own Pomphrey Hill is this running festival on Saturday 13th April.  There are a range of races for all ages and running abilities.  100% of profits are donated to CHSW (Childrens Hospice South West).  To find out more or sign up visit their website here

Running News please

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this March edition of The View from Pomphrey.  All contributions and suggestions are welcome.  If you have any other ideas for the newsletter, would like to feature in 'The inside track', 'The Green Chair' (win a prize for submitting an embarrassing or funny running story!), write a race review, or submit a photo for ‘Where in the world?’ or  a recipe for ‘Emersons Greeen Running Grub’, please e-mail me at newsletter@emersonsgreenrunningclub.co.uk.

Kit Adviser

Next month we will begin our new feature, Kit Adviser where members give their recommendations for a particular item of running kit.  To kick off we will be featuring gear for keeping hydrated whilst running.  So please send in your recommendations in relation to hydration belts/camel packs/ water bottles - whatever works for you.  It could be a particular brand/product that you would recommend or general advice on what to look out for/or what to avoid.

The deadline for April's content is Friday 22nd March.
