It’s February already, or “Debruary” if you are joining in the Chairman’s challenge - glad to see lots of you “going for a run“ but equally glad my legs don’t have to cope with coming with you all.

This month we will run the first of our Friendly mile time trials to see who will win the trophy that 2019 champion Caron Finn was awarded at the AGM. It’s a good way of benchmarking your progress over the year and putting in a session where you push yourself to go faster. The award goes to the person who makes the biggest improvement so come along and have a go!

This year Up and Coming runners are going to use the Hogweed Trotter’s 10k in May as our away run. If you’ve not run 10k before this is a great one to enter - friendly, flat and very reasonably priced. And there’s a pub opposite the finish! What better way to spend a spring evening - entries are open now so let’s try to get a big EGRC Up and Coming group there.
