Need to run on a Wednesday too?

Did you know that there is a Wednesday running group which is free and run in collaboration with EGRC but meeting in Lyde Green?

The emphasis is on social running -running together over about 5km in gentle times of about 30 to 35 minutes (but there are also faster and slower runners).  It's a very friendly, informal group, free to attend and particularly suited to those who have started the Monday group and want to do a bit more running.

Where in the World

Pam Beattie

Taken at “The end of the World” Cape St Vincent/Sagres, Portugal. It’s the most south westerly point in Europe and us referred to as the “end of the world” until the 1400’s when the world of sea navigation was opened up to discovery, exploration and settlement. Sagres is primarily a surfing destination, with great beaches, dramatic cliffs and coastlines to walk, run and explore. Great place to get my running prep in for the Weston Super Half! It’s not a resort as such, there was a definite lack of “kiss me quick” hats, but with that scenery I wasn’t bothered. The sardines were good too!!

Going on holiday?

If you are going on holiday don't just lie on the beach sipping cocktails, get your EGRC kit on and take a photo and then send it to newsletter@emersonsgreenrunningclub.co.uk for the next newsletter edition .. oh and maybe just do a short run before relaxing on the beach again!
